SW corner producing limits. Coho moving through, 2 out of the blue. We caught our (springs) limit deep. Dockside tales tell of big plugs shallow upon same tacks in the same 'hood. Hali limit at mid depths on spoon and hootchie, biggest 15# Springs were feeder size all depths with best cop car and spatterback, various depths. Bait balls crazy. Whales all 'round. Pics on the way.

Fished Uke - Thursday, Friday and today. Lots of feeders 12 - 20 pounds. Coho there but wild seem to outnumber hatchery 10 to 1 in the ones we hooked into. I agree with Cheech about the whales and the bait balls. We lost one spring to a sealion yesterday but that was the only one we saw. It did not seem to matter as what gear one fished with as everything we put out we caught fish on. Beautiful weather the first two days but rough today.

Cheech...whats the scoop on that flasher? Are my eyes tricking me, it doesnt look like the leader to the spoon connects to the bottom of the flasher?

They are breakaway flashers. They work like a charm. Get info from:
qcove.com and check out Jim's flashers.

Its a Gibbs Farr better unit. I sprayed 1 side with UV Blast. Tried them a couple times this year with good success, especially good for inexperienced salmon anglers. Its kinda like training wheels. Fish cannot 'use' the leverage against you as much as a hard wired flasher.
