Cheers All,
Finally have a day off and am thinking about heading to Fraser for some sockeye on Friday. Anyone else making the run over in the morning? Let me know.

Cheers All,
Made the trip over this morning to the South Fraser (TA Buoy) where we encountered wall to wall boats. It reminded me of the Port Alberni Derby except 1/2 of the boats were commercial trollers. Was an awesome day on the water with killer whales, seals, seal lions and warm sunshine with fish jumping as far as you cared to look.
We caught 2 and released both. We saw only 1 other caught in 8 hours and talked to many frustrated fishermen. Was a bit sloppy on the way back so we ducked through Porlier Pass and the back way was a substantially better.
Out again in the morning - off Nanaimo - on another charter.

We went for one last sockeye trip today. We left Ladysmith at 6:00 and had a nice calm ride over to the south arm of the Fraser and found some small schools and fished a bit deeper than the last time. We managed to get our 3 person limit and home by 12:30. Great day out there and we didn't see a lot of other fish being caught, most of ours were on the bottom lines at 80 to 90 feet.

Thanks Jim, that's different than others have posted in the last few days. It may be worth another trip over for us.
Cheers

Fished Sunday 6:30 -10:30 Sandheads, had a fish on before I had the second side down 70'. pulled like a spring or big coho, but we lost it after about 30 seconds. That was it. saw a few jumpers but not like the week before. commercials were gone. lots of sporties out. We didn't see any fish caught. On the way back we saw about 50 whales in about 4-5 pods. They were headed west.
