Where are you leaving from?

There are plenty of places ECVI to fish the fraser run that might save you the ferry cost.

I thought the last fraser river panel said the diversion rate was 75% for the inside.

We did exceptionally well at sayward this weekend 8-9 pound brutes and limited out stupid quick even with the tour de rock fishing derby taking place there, browns bay is also another place that is doing well.

Salty, if you need an extra hand let me know. Because its a fun fishery right now and it will only get better as the weeks go on.

Left silva bay around 5:30 and slopped through the southeast and had our first fish by 7 am, had two more on quickly then got pushed off the fish by a frieghter  Continued back in and managed to go 8 for 10 on the day(only 3 rods) with the last few fish coming much slower as a HUGE pod of orcas came through and wanted the sox aswell. Had Orcas surfacing within 20 feet of us and had one terrified sockeye swim straight into our hull and then into our cable before managing to escape  The pod had at least 50 and they were around for hours and were still there when we left.

Early bites saw fish being taken in in the 30-70 foot range with the midday fish being found deeper 80-100. Biting all forms of pink crap you could throw at them and the runt of the bunch was 6 pounds with all the rest 8 :D

The size and the scrap put the inlet sox to shame for sure ;)

yo, got back late from browns area last night.

got full limit, lost another 11. Took friend who has never caught salmon before, so , after losing a few to never doing before, it worked out to be a much better operation by end of day. Fishing the last of big ebb in AM, large number of boats at sep head. No action, shifted up to greenseas chatham area. couple hrs later bite came on, and most had nets going. % trollers were in line stemming the current and the fleet surrounded them,
They were hauling up sockeyes on almost every hook. most of oak bay and lot of other guide boats all there. One seiner set there and brought up maybe a doz fish then left. As the flood eased, oncame the bite. We even had a quad hitter , with fish jumping all around boat,
apparently most of the seine and gillnetters are near robson bite. Full moon might have slowed bite also. But mean scrappers these guys.
If weather is good, I will be back over at north arm area this week. they use ch 68 and 88a. Very little chatter at greenseas, so guess I didn't have right channel. I f others going, lets keep in touch.

Try mixing things up a little-on this side they'll take Green/Glo gear as well.

This has been my hottest rig so far this season-Double Glo Chartreuse flasher and a Glo Yamashita squirt on a 22" leader-I've hooked dozens on it this season.

Cheers All,

I have only caught one sockeye off Nanaimo this year despite the claim of 25,000,000 heading towards the Fraser River. It was caught on spring gear off Entrance Island. It sure would be nice to be able to take part in this fishery locally.
