out again this morning, pretty snotty off victoria but nice and flat of sooke. From 7:00 - 10:00 we got 2 nice springs and 4 sox's, lost a few more.

It seemed like everybody was getting a few sockeye but nobody was lighting it up like past days. Springs are consistent though, seems like at least a shot at a few of them each trip.

Fish jumping all over in Ross Bay, hooked up one but lost it at the boat. Nice Chinook! Lots of bait fish.

I've been going our west (race - secretary) on all my trips in the last month or so, there just hasn't been much action out front.

The sockeye never really showed up anywhere around vic, I only know of a couple mature springs taken off the waterfront in the last month and the nice teeners that were on the bank earlier in the summer are gone from what I can tell.

Its the in between time again I guess ......

OAK BAY is dead from 10 mile point to trial island except
for a couple of shakers in the last two weeks.
Surprising to hear that
the Victoria harborfront is not producing after seeing so many boats
last weekend. Must have been close to 30 boats in the morning SAT & SUN. :D

Well that rings true from my experience also... what a difference from last year when the fish were there all year.
hopefully the winters will show early and give us a reason to go fishing again.

I liken this to the 'elusive' Yellow Fin Rainbow of the Columbia system. While I have apparently have caught them, I did not truly acknowledge the feat.
Or the Goldstream CutBow that was ignored by the local biologist.
Whats the point Oblio?
