Where are those bigger fish that should be sitting off Oak Bay right now, I got a 30 this time last year there - sounds quiet though...

pretty rough on the bank today, came in to the waterfront shortly after and hit a real nice mid teener.... which a seal got and gave my guest a good tussle only to bring in half a head

yup sure is, I spent 5 hours working the waterfront with not so much as a sniff. I did see some birds working bait which was encouraging but no salmon. Another boat got a couple of runts off the bank.

May /June were pretty good, i thought we were in for another good year...
sure hope we get another crack at them ?

out for a bit this morning with a buddy, nothing serious but hooked up with one off west of the harbour mouth but it didn't make it into the boat.

Awesome water and weather but it seems pretty quiet still.

had two nice fish on this morning, with a 15-17lber(hatchery) making it into the boat this morning. Harbour mouth was full of bait and diving birds and I know some of the flatter areas around Victoria coughed up a bunch of mid teens.

So I guess its not all doom and gloom but its interesting that these are still mostly hatchery so likely washington state fish still hanging around - but where are the fraser fish?
